The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help families from Molino, Florida, plan a relaxed Caribbean trip to villas at the Westin St John Resort, and the local team answers questions before you book.

A family trip to St. John often means balancing a long list of wishes: space for everyone, a place to rest between swims, and a plan that keeps younger travelers happy. Villa rentals suit that mix well, since you get separate rooms, a kitchen for simple meals, and room to spread out. Many visitors from Florida find the island feels familiar in its warmth, though the pace is slower and the landscape is greener and hillier than the flat coastline most of us know at home. For families leaving Molino, the appeal is largely about ease. The Westin St John Resort sits within reach of the island's calmer beaches, and a villa gives you a base that feels like home for a week. You can plan quiet mornings, long lunches, and early evenings without rushing from one place to the next. Ask the St John Condos team about layouts and sleeping arrangements before you commit, so the villa fits your group.

Getting to St. John from Molino

  1. Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Molino fly into Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas, airport code STT. From there, take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. Travel with children in mind, keep snacks and comfort items in your carry-on, and confirm your ferry plans with the St John Condos team so your arrival feels smooth.
  2. Pick the right season. Florida families know the rhythm of hot summers and mild winters, and the Virgin Islands follow their own pattern of warm weather and seasonal rain. Think about school calendars, your children's comfort in heat, and how crowded you want the beaches to be. Our team can talk through the seasons with you so you choose the time that suits your family.
  3. Plan the villa stay. Villa rentals are booked by the week, which gives your family room to settle in. Decide early who needs a bedroom, whether you want a kitchen for breakfasts, and how you will move around the island, since driving is on the left. Share your plans with the St John Condos team and they will help you match your group to the right villa at the Westin St John Resort.
