The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, and for travelers from Millington, Maryland, planning a milestone celebration on St. John, they can help you think through a villa stay at the Westin St John Resort.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels separate from ordinary life, and St. John offers that kind of quiet change of scenery. From Millington, Maryland, a trip to the Virgin Islands means leaving behind a region of the Southeast that is familiar and stepping into warm Caribbean weather, where the pace of the day tends to slow on its own. Many visitors choose a villa rather than a standard hotel room when they are celebrating, because a private space gives everyone room to gather, cook a quiet dinner, or simply sit outside together. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which suits a celebration that deserves more than a single night. Talking through the details with a local team before you commit can make the planning feel much lighter.

Your celebration trip from Millington
- Getting to the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is a simple sequence, but it helps to plan it ahead, especially when you are traveling with family or guests who are less used to island logistics.
- Choosing your departure time. Consider when your milestone falls and what season suits your group. Winters in Maryland are cold, so many travelers from the area look forward to arriving somewhere warm. Think about whether you would rather celebrate during a quieter stretch or around a fixed date, and let that choice guide when you leave Millington for the islands.
- Planning the stay. Reserve a villa for the length of time that feels right for your celebration, keeping in mind that Villa Rentals are typically booked by the week. Think about meals, transportation on the island, and whether you want time for quiet days as well as the main event. Driving on St. John is on the left, so consider that when deciding how you will get around.
