Planning your celebration from Butlertown

  1. Reaching St. John. Most visitors from Maryland fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little extra room for the transfers so the first evening feels easy, and let the St John Condos team know your arrival day so they can prepare for your arrival.
  2. Choosing your timing. Maryland winters are cold, so many families from Butlertown choose to travel during the cooler months when a warm island feels like a real change of season. Think about what date matters most to your celebration, then check with the St John Condos team about availability. Booking early gives your group the most choice in villas and keeps the plan flexible.
  3. Planning the stay. Start by deciding how many guests are coming and what the celebration needs, whether that is a dinner table, quiet mornings or space for a small party. Pick a villa that matches, then build the week around a few plans rather than a packed list. Driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so think about whether you want a rental car or prefer to rely on taxis.
