Getting from Mascotte to St. John
- Reaching St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, using the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in your travel day so the transfer feels easy rather than rushed, and keep your documents close at hand.
- Choosing when to leave. Florida's warmth means the islands rarely feel like a shock, but timing still shapes the trip. Think about when you can truly step away from work and home obligations, and whether you prefer a season with quieter days. Your St John Condos contact can share what to expect across the year so you can match the week to your needs.
- Planning the stay. Villa Rentals are booked by the week, which gives a quiet trip a natural rhythm. Consider stocking a few basics so you are not running errands on your first afternoon, and decide ahead whether you want a car. Driving on St. John is on the left, so take that into account if you plan to get around on your own.
