The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Mardela Springs, Maryland, plan a long-anticipated splurge at the Westin St John Resort, with villa rentals set up around the trip you have been dreaming about. Ask us anything before you book.
For many people in Mardela Springs, a trip to St. John is something saved for and talked about for years before it finally happens. Maryland sits in the Mid-Atlantic, and its winters are cold and gray, so an island stay with warm water and open sky can feel like a real turning point in the year. A splurge like this deserves careful planning, and that is where we come in. The Westin St John Resort offers a setting that suits a longer, slower stay. Villa rentals give you room to spread out, cook a few meals, and settle into a routine that feels like your own rather than a hotel schedule. Because villas are rented by the week, you can plan the rhythm of your days around what matters most to you, whether that is quiet mornings or a full calendar of time on the water.

Planning your splurge from Mardela Springs
- Getting to the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan your connections with some slack, since island travel is simpler when you are not rushing. Once you arrive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment before you get behind the wheel.
- Choosing when to go. Leaving a Maryland winter for the islands is a big part of the appeal, so think about which season suits your plans. The Caribbean stays warm year round, though rainy spells and the busier weeks of the year can change how a stay feels. Talk with our team about timing, and we can help you weigh the tradeoffs before you commit to dates.
- Planning the stay. Choose a villa rental that matches the size of your group and the kind of trip you want, then settle on a length that feels generous rather than rushed. Decide early which days you want open for doing nothing at all. Share your goals with our team, and we will help you line up the details so the splurge feels effortless from the first day to the last.
