The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Allen, Maryland plan a milestone celebration at a villa at the Westin St John Resort, answering questions before you book so the trip feels settled and unhurried.

A milestone deserves a setting that feels a little removed from ordinary life, and a stay on St. John can offer exactly that. For a family or a small circle of friends gathering from Allen, the idea of marking a special year somewhere warm and quiet often starts as a daydream and slowly turns into a plan. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to gather together, cook a meal, sit outdoors, and talk without rushing from one commitment to the next. Because the island is a long way from Maryland, it helps to think early about what kind of celebration you want. Some groups prefer long mornings and easy evenings, while others want a few shared outings and plenty of time apart. Our team can talk through those preferences with you before anything is booked, so the villa you choose fits the people who will actually be there rather than an idealized version of the trip.

Planning a celebration from Allen

  1. Getting to the island. Most visitors from Maryland fly into St. Thomas, the airport code being STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan this leg with the whole group in mind, since everyone will want a calm arrival before the celebration begins. Keep carry-on bags practical and allow yourselves a relaxed first evening rather than a packed schedule.
  2. Choosing when to go. Maryland winters are cold, so many travelers from Allen look toward the islands in the colder months as a welcome change in weather. Think about the date of your milestone and whether you want the celebration to fall on a particular day or within a broader stretch of time. Mention your preferred window when you contact our team, and we will share what we know about how the island feels across the seasons.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives a group space to settle in and make the milestone its own occasion. Decide early who is coming, how many bedrooms you need, and whether you want to plan activities together or leave most days open. Remember that St. John drives on the left, so you may want one person comfortable with that for trips around the island. Our team answers questions before you book, so bring every detail you are unsure about.
