The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Lakeland Highlands, Florida, plan a long-awaited island stay at Westin St John Resort villas, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
Some trips are years in the making. You have talked about the Caribbean over dinner for a long time, and now you are ready to make it real. Lakeland Highlands sits in central Florida, a long way from the quiet green water of the Virgin Islands, so a trip like this takes a bit of planning. That is where we come in. Our villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to settle in, unpack properly, and let the days stretch out the way a splurge should. A villa is different from a standard hotel room. You have space to spread out, a kitchen for slow breakfasts, and a stretch of the island that feels like yours for the week. Rentals are arranged by the week, which suits a trip you have been dreaming about and want to savor. Before you commit, our team will walk through what is included, what to expect, and which villa fits the way you like to travel.

Planning Your Trip From Lakeland Highlands
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Driving on the island is on the left, so keep that in mind when you rent a car. Our team can share practical details for this leg of the journey so nothing catches you off guard on arrival day.
- Choosing When to Go. The islands stay warm year round, which is a welcome change for anyone leaving the Florida heat for a different kind of sun. Many travelers from central Florida pick a stretch when the water is calm and the days feel unhurried. Think about your own calendar, your budget for the week, and how much you want to be around other visitors. We are happy to talk through timing so the trip feels right for you.
- Planning Your Stay. Once your dates are set, think about how you want your days to feel. Some people want a slow morning on the terrace, others want a full itinerary of water and trails. Your villa rental gives you a home base either way. Tell us what matters most, and we will help you match your needs to the right villa before you book, so the splurge feels exactly as planned.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa rental worth it for a special trip from Lakeland Highlands?
For many travelers, yes. A villa gives you more room, a full kitchen, and a sense of privacy that a standard room cannot match. If this trip is a long-planned celebration, the extra space often makes the week feel more like a true getaway. Our team can walk you through the layout of each villa so you know what you are choosing before you book.
How do I know which villa suits my group?
Start by telling us how many people are coming and what you hope to do each day. Some groups want a quiet base for rest, while others want easy access to the activities they have been looking forward to.
