The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Lake Wales, Florida, plan a milestone celebration at a villa at the Westin St John Resort, with questions answered by a local team before you book.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels different from an ordinary weekend. For many travelers from Lake Wales, Florida, that means leaving the familiar inland landscape behind and heading for the US Virgin Islands. The island of St. John offers a slower rhythm, a sheltered coastline, and the kind of quiet that lets a group actually talk to one another over a long meal. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give a celebration room to breathe. Rather than squeezing a party into a hotel corridor, you can gather around your own kitchen table, a shared deck, and a private pool. Everyone keeps their own pace, and the plans stay yours from start to finish. It is a practical way to honor an anniversary, a retirement, or a big birthday without losing the warmth of home.

Planning your celebration from Lake Wales
- Getting to the island. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay. Plan for a little extra time on arrival day so the celebration starts relaxed, not rushed. Driving on St. John is on the left, so consider whether you want a rental vehicle or prefer to ride with your villa team.
- Choosing your moment. Florida's warm months are familiar, but the islands have their own seasons, and many couples prefer to plan around a date that matters to them rather than a crowded holiday. Think about the anniversary itself, the guests who are traveling, and whether you would enjoy cooler mornings or a longer stretch of sunshine. Ask the team which weeks suit a group celebration before you settle on dates.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives a celebration room to unfold without a fixed schedule. Decide early how many guests are coming, who will handle meals, and whether you want one special dinner or a few relaxed evenings. Share the details with St John Condos ahead of time so the villa is set up to suit your group, and so you can focus on enjoying the milestone itself.
