The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands, and our local team is glad to talk through a week away with friends from Glen Burnie, Maryland, before you book.
A trip with friends from Glen Burnie tends to work best when everyone has a say in the plan, so start by agreeing on what matters most to your group. Some want quiet mornings on a terrace, others want to be out exploring, and most want a shared kitchen and a place to gather at night. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you private space that suits a group, which can make the week feel like a true shared home base rather than a string of separate hotel rooms. Maryland sits in the Southeast region of the United States, and that shapes what you may pack and when you may want to go. Glen Burnie has its own seasonal rhythm, with cold winters and warm summers, so the islands can feel like a welcome change in almost any season. Your group may be easiest to coordinate around a single week everyone can clear, so talk early about dates, budgets for shared costs, and who will handle reservations and communication.

Getting your Glen Burnie crew to St. John
- Plan the route together. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses airport code STT. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask one person in your group to keep the travel details in one shared note so everyone has the same plan, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road.
- Pick your departure window. Choosing when to leave Maryland matters more with a group, since one late connection can affect everyone. Think about the weather you want to escape, the schedules your friends can keep, and whether you prefer a calmer shoulder period. Lock in the week early so flights and villa dates line up, and keep some flexibility for the people who may need to adjust.
- Plan the stay around your group. Villa Rentals are booked by the week, which suits a group that wants to settle in rather than move every few nights. Decide how you will split the shared spaces, meals, and any rental car or ferry trips before you arrive. Our local team can answer questions before you book, so bring your list of must-dos and let us help you match your group to the right villa.
