The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, and for travelers from Flintstone, Maryland, planning a beach-centered trip, we can talk through villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands.
Flintstone sits in the mountainous western part of Maryland, a long way from any ocean. For many people who live there, the idea of a warm, sandy beach is exactly what makes a winter trip feel worth planning. A beach-focused getaway to St. John gives you clear water, quiet mornings on the sand, and an unhurried pace that is hard to find at home in the colder months. A beach trip works best when the rest of the plan stays simple. Choosing a villa rental at the Westin St John Resort lets you step from your own space onto the sand without juggling hotel schedules. Our team at St John Condos can explain how villa rentals are arranged, what the week includes, and which details matter most before you commit to dates.

Your beach trip from Flintstone
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors from Maryland fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little room in your day for this connection so the first afternoon feels relaxed rather than rushed, and keep your bags light for the ferry.
- Choosing your season. Flintstone has real winters, so many travelers from the area are drawn to the islands during the cooler months at home. Think about when you want the sea to feel most inviting, and whether you prefer a busier stretch of the year or a quieter one. We can help you weigh those trade-offs against your own schedule before you lock in a week.
- Planning the stay. Villa rentals are booked by the week, which suits a beach trip well because you can settle in, unpack, and let the days find their own rhythm. Think about how many people are coming, what you want near your door, and how much time you want to spend on the sand versus exploring. Bring questions to St John Condos and we will walk through the details with you.
