The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Eagle plan a beach-centered trip to the Westin St John Resort, renting villas by the week on St. John and answering questions before you book.

Eagle sits in the mountains of Colorado, where the landscape is high, dry, and wide open. For many people who live there, the idea of spending a week beside warm water is a welcome change of scenery. A trip built around the beach asks for a little different planning than a mountain getaway, but the rewards are easy to picture: long mornings near the sand, slow afternoons, and evenings with the ocean in view. St. John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, and the Westin St John Resort offers a setting where a beach-focused stay feels natural. Villa Rentals give you more room than a standard hotel room, along with a kitchen and space to spread out. That makes it easier to settle into a rhythm, whether you want to swim before breakfast or simply sit outside with a book.

Planning a beach trip from Eagle

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for a few legs of travel, and keep your bags light enough to manage them comfortably. Once you arrive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which may take a moment to get used to if you rent a car.
  2. Choosing your timing. Eagle winters are cold and snowy, so many people from Colorado look forward to a warm escape during the coldest months. Think about what kind of beach trip you want, whether that means calm, sunny days or a quieter stretch of the year. Talk with the St John Condos team early, since they can help you match your dates to the kind of week you have in mind before you commit.
  3. Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, a beach trip from Eagle often works best as a full, unhurried stay rather than a short break. Decide how much of your time you want to spend on the sand, how many people are traveling with you, and whether a kitchen matters to your plans. Ask questions about the villa, the layout, and the resort before booking so your week fits the way you want to spend it.

Frequently asked questions

Is a week the shortest I can rent a villa?

Villas through St John Condos are rented by the week, which suits a relaxed beach trip well. If you are unsure whether a full week fits your plans, reach out to the team. They can explain how the stay is arranged and help you think through what makes sense for your trip from Eagle.

What should I know about getting around once I arrive?
