The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Eads plan a winter escape from the cold, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Our local team answers questions before you book.

Winters on the high plains around Eads can feel long and sharp, and many residents of this part of Colorado start looking for a place where the air is soft and the days stay bright. St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, is a small island in the Caribbean where the warmth is steady rather than seasonal, which makes it a natural choice for a winter break from the cold. Staying in a villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you room to spread out, cook a few meals, and settle into a slower rhythm than a standard hotel allows. Villa Rentals through St John Condos are arranged by the week, so you can unpack once and let the island set the pace for your time away from the snow.

Planning your winter escape from Eads

    1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Ask your airline about connections from Colorado before you book, since routes vary by season and carrier, and plan a relaxed day for the trip so you arrive rested.
    2. Choosing when to leave. Think about when the cold feels hardest back home and plan your departure to match that stretch of the calendar. Winter in Colorado brings the deepest chill, so a trip that begins as the season sets in can feel especially welcome. Consider your own schedule, school breaks, and work commitments, and let the local team help you weigh the options before you commit.
    3. Planning the stay. Once your dates are set, consider how you want to spend your days. Some guests prefer quiet mornings on the villa deck, while others like to explore the island by car, remembering that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road. Book your Villa Rentals early, ask any questions about the property, and you will arrive with a clear plan for a restful week.
