The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help travelers from Craig, Colorado, plan a beach-focused stay in villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John. Our local team answers questions before you book.

Craig sits in the northwestern part of Colorado, where the landscape is wide and high, and the winters are cold enough that many residents look forward to warmer weather. A beach trip from a place like this feels like a real change of scenery, and that contrast is part of what makes the islands appealing. St. John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, and it is known for its quiet beaches and clear water. Planning a trip around the sand means thinking about how you will spend your mornings, afternoons, and evenings, not just where you will sleep. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you a private base to come back to after a day in the water. Rentals are arranged by the week, so you can settle in and let the trip slow down at its own pace.

    Your beach trip from Craig

    1. Reach the island. Most visitors from Colorado fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once you arrive, you will want a car, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment to get used to it before heading out to the beaches.
    2. Pick your season. Colorado winters are cold, so many travelers from Craig choose to leave during the colder months at home. The islands stay warm year round, which means you can plan around crowds and personal preference rather than the weather. Think about when you can truly step away from work and home, and let that guide your dates.
    3. Plan the villa stay. Choose a Villa Rental at the Westin St John Resort that matches how you want to spend your days. Think about how many people are traveling, how much time you want near the water, and whether you want a quiet place to rest. Write down your beach plans before you book, then send your questions to the St John Condos team so we can help you fit the villa to your trip.
