The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help a group of friends from Cheverly, Maryland, plan a relaxed week of villa living at the Westin St John Resort. Villas are rented by the week, and the local team answers questions before you book.

Planning a week away with friends means balancing shared time with a little room to wander. A villa rental at the Westin St John Resort gives a group one home base, with space to gather for meals, swap stories, and sleep in without a schedule. From Cheverly, the trip starts with a familiar stretch of travel that most visitors complete by flying into St. Thomas, the usual gateway for St. John. Once you arrive on St. John, the pace tends to slow on its own. Many groups spend their mornings easy, their afternoons near the water, and their evenings planning the next day over a simple dinner at the villa. St John Condos is a local team that can talk through how a group of your size fits into villa options, so the details feel settled long before you pack.

Getting from Cheverly to St. John

  1. Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry runs to Cruz Bay on St. John. Since your group is coming from Maryland, you can compare airports and connections in the Southeast before settling on a plan. Keep everyone's arrival day in mind so the taxi and ferry legs are easy to coordinate together.
  2. Choose your departure timing. Think about when your group wants to leave Maryland, since northern winters are cold and many friends look forward to warm sunshine after a long stretch of gray weather. Agree on a shared travel date early, so everyone can book flights and time off around the same plan. A little planning at home makes the change in climate feel like the start of the vacation.
  3. Plan the villa stay. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which suits a group that wants a full seven days together. Decide who sleeps where, how you will split shared costs, and which days you want open for the group versus free time. Reach out to the local team with questions about the villa layout before you book, so the stay fits the way your friends like to travel.
