The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help travelers from Watergate, Florida, plan a warm winter break at villas on the Westin St John Resort, and their local team answers questions before you book. Villa Rentals at the resort suit families and friends who want space and quiet.

Winter in Florida is mild compared with much of the country, but many people in Watergate still find themselves wanting a clearer break from routine. A stay on St. John offers something different: turquoise water, hillsides that drop toward the sea, and a slower pace that feels separate from everyday errands. The island is part of the US Virgin Islands, so the trip carries a sense of travel without the complications of going abroad. The Westin St John Resort sits on the island and rents villas by the week, which means you get a kitchen, separate rooms, and room to spread out. Villa Rentals like these fit groups who want to cook some meals, sit on a porch in the evening, and keep their own schedule. St John Condos is a local team that will talk through which villa suits your group before anything is booked.

Planning Your Escape From Watergate

  1. Getting to the Island. Most visitors from Watergate fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Keep in mind that driving on the island is on the left, so if you plan to rent a car, take a moment to get comfortable before heading out on the roads.
  2. Choosing When to Leave. Winter is the season most people from Florida look forward to, since the cold of northern states is a world away from island air. Think about whether you want the quieter weeks after the holidays or a stretch closer to spring. Picking your window early gives you more choice when you look at Villa Rentals and lets you plan time off with less stress.
  3. Planning the Stay. Decide who is coming and how much living space you need before you choose a villa. Think about meals, rest days, and whether you want to spend time at the resort or venture across the island. Send your questions to St John Condos, who can help you match your group with the right Villa Rentals so the trip feels relaxed from the start.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa better than a hotel room for a winter trip from Watergate?

It depends on your group. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you a kitchen, separate sleeping areas, and an outdoor space, which many families and friends appreciate for a week-long stay. If you prefer a simple room and daily housekeeping, a hotel may feel easier. St John Condos can talk through the difference with you.

Do I need to rent a car on St. John?

Many visitors find a car useful for getting around the island, but the roads are narrow and winding, and you will be driving on the left. Some people prefer to stay close to the resort and rely on taxis for short trips. Ask St John Condos what options work best for your plans before you book.

Can I ask questions before I decide on Villa Rentals?

Of course. Ask St John Condos anything about Villa Rentals before you make a choice.
