The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Twin Hills, Alaska, plan a long-awaited splurge on St. John, with villas at the Westin St John Resort rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

For many people in Twin Hills, a trip to the Caribbean is the kind of plan that gets talked about for years before it finally happens. Alaska winters are long and dark, and a stretch of warm water, white sand and easy days can feel like something you have earned. St John Condos understands that a trip like this is a big decision, and we are glad to help you think it through carefully. Our focus is villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. A villa gives you your own space, room to spread out, and a slower rhythm than a standard hotel stay. Because villas are rented by the week, you can settle in and let the trip unfold rather than rushing from one plan to the next. Tell us what matters most to you and we will help you find a fit.

Planning your splurge from Twin Hills

  1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there you take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a few connections from Alaska with some slack built in, since island travel rewards a relaxed pace. If you rent a car on St. John, remember that driving is on the left side of the road.
  2. Choosing when to go. Alaska's seasons are sharp, so the contrast with the islands is part of the appeal. Many travelers from northern states pick a winter or early spring window to escape the cold, while others prefer the quieter feel of a shoulder season. Think about what you want the trip to feel like, then let that guide the timing. We can talk through the options with you before you commit.
  3. Planning the stay. Start by deciding how many weeks you want, what kind of space suits your group, and how much you want to plan versus wander. A villa rental at the Westin St John Resort lets you choose your own pace. Ask us about the villa rentals we offer, the layout of each unit and anything else you want to know. Settling these details early makes the rest of the trip feel effortless.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa rental a good choice for a special trip from Alaska?

For many travelers, yes. A villa offers more space and privacy than a standard room, and renting by the week suits a longer escape from winter. It gives you a home base to relax in between days out. Tell us what your group needs and we will help you judge whether a villa matches the trip you have in mind.

Do I need to plan everything before I arrive on St. John?

You do not need every detail settled before you go. Many people book the villa and arrival plans first, then decide day by day how to spend their time. If you like structure, we can help you think through key dates in advance. Either way, our team is available to answer questions before you book.
