The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Trilby, Florida, plan a milestone celebration at a villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, and the local team answers questions before you book.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels separate from ordinary life, and many people from Trilby find that a quiet island suits the occasion. Florida is already warm, so the pull of the Caribbean is less about escaping heat and more about the change of scenery, the slower pace, and the sense that the celebration belongs to you alone. A villa gives a group room to gather in the morning, spread out in the afternoon, and come together again for dinner. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are offered by the week, which often suits a celebration better than a short hotel stay. You can plan the days around what matters, whether that is a long breakfast on the terrace, a walk to a favorite beach, or a quiet evening with the people you are celebrating. St John Condos is a local team, so you can talk through the details with someone who knows the island before you commit to anything.

Getting from Trilby to your island celebration
- Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Trilby reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, plan on a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry departs for Cruz Bay. Keep your luggage manageable, since you will be carrying it onto the ferry and along the short walk to your villa. Confirm your flight details and ferry timing with St John Condos before you book so nothing catches you off guard on the day you arrive.
- Choose your departure window. Trilby sits in a warm part of the country, so the Caribbean will not feel dramatically different in temperature, but the season still matters for crowds and rainfall. Think about when your milestone falls and whether a quieter stretch of the year would give your group more space. Mention your date to the St John Condos team, who can help you weigh the options against what your celebration needs most, such as privacy, a relaxed pace, or room for a larger group.
- Plan the stay around the day. Once you have a villa booked, decide early what the celebration will look like. A shared dinner at the villa, a day out on the water, or a slow morning with no schedule can all work well. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so think about whether you want a rental car or would rather rely on taxis for outings. St John Condos can talk through Villa Rentals options and help you match the home to your group's plans.
Frequently asked questions
Can a villa work for a small family celebration from Trilby?
Yes. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are suited to families and small groups who want privacy and a kitchen. A villa lets you cook breakfast, keep a relaxed schedule, and gather together without the feel of a shared hotel lobby. Tell St John Condos how many people are coming and what the celebration involves, and the team can help you choose a home that fits.
Do I need to plan everything before leaving Florida?
It helps to settle the main points, such as your dates, group size, and whether you want a car, before you travel. You do not need every detail fixed, though. St John Condos answers questions before you book, so you can raise anything that is unclear, from the ferry connection out of Red Hook to what to pack for a warm climate. Planning the broad outline first leaves room to enjoy the moment once you arrive.
