The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Plantation Mobile Home Park, Florida, plan a week of exploring the island, with villas at the Westin St John Resort rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
Plantation Mobile Home Park sits in the Southeast, where the warm months are long and the water is never far away. A week on St. John offers a different kind of warmth, with green hillsides, clear shallow bays, and a pace that asks very little of you. Many visitors from this part of Florida find the trip feels familiar in its humidity and sunshine, yet remarkably quiet once you settle in. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you a home base for that week. Villa Rentals are booked by the week, so you can spread your days out and return to the same quiet porch each evening. The question for most families is less about whether to go and more about how to make the most of seven full days on an island you may only see once.

A week on St. John from Plantation Mobile Home Park
- Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in your day for the transfers, since island rhythms are unhurried and it helps to arrive relaxed rather than rushed.
- Choosing the season. Florida winters are mild by comparison with the northern states, so a visit from this side of the country is often about escaping summer heat rather than cold. Think about when you want the trade winds, the crowds, and the rain. Talk through your preferred weeks with our team before you commit, and they can help you match the timing to your plans.
- Planning your stay. Decide early how you want the week to feel. Some travelers want a slow start with a long breakfast on the villa deck, while others prefer exploring trails and beaches each morning. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment to adjust before you head out. A simple outline for each day keeps the week relaxed without feeling empty.
