The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can answer your questions about planning a week on St. John for travelers from Palm Beach, Florida, before you book a villa at the Westin St John Resort. Their local team knows the island well and is glad to talk through the details with you first.
Palm Beach sits on Florida's Atlantic coast in the Southeast, a place where warm weather is part of everyday life. Many people who live there already know the feeling of sand underfoot and a slow morning by the water, which makes the Virgin Islands feel like a natural next step. Planning a full week on St. John lets you settle in rather than rush from one place to the next. A week on the island gives you room to explore at a relaxed pace, with time for quiet afternoons as well as longer outings. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are offered by the week, which suits travelers who want space, a kitchen, and a home base for every day of the trip. Taking your time here is much of the point.

Planning Your Week on St. John from Palm Beach
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has its own airport code of STT. From there you take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once on the island, remember that driving is on the left, which is worth practicing before you head out on the winding roads.
- Choosing when to go. Palm Beach travelers are used to warm weather, so the Caribbean climate will feel familiar, though the islands have their own rhythm of seasons. Think about whether you want a quieter stretch of the year or a busier one, and plan your week around the kind of trip you want. Your local team can help you weigh those choices before you commit.
- Planning your stay. A villa rented by the week gives you a dependable base for a full seven days on St. John. Plan a few loose anchors, such as a beach morning or a day of hiking, and leave the rest open for spontaneous discoveries. Let the island set the pace, and keep your plans flexible enough to enjoy it.
