The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Lazy Lake, Florida, plan a milestone celebration at a villa at the Westin St John Resort. Our local team answers questions before you book, so the trip feels settled from the start.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels like a change of pace, and for many people from Lazy Lake that means warm water, quiet mornings, and a place where the days belong to the two of you or to your whole group. Villas at the Westin St John Resort give you room to gather, cook a slow breakfast, and step outside whenever you like, without the feeling of sharing a hallway with strangers. Florida already offers plenty of sun, so the appeal of St. John is more about the island itself: a small place with a relaxed rhythm, roads that wind past green hills, and an easy way to slow down. Villa Rentals suit celebrations because they keep everyone together while still leaving space for private moments, which is often what a milestone calls for most.

Planning your celebration from Lazy Lake
- Getting to the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Pack light for the ferry, and keep celebratory bottles and gifts in a bag you can carry yourself. Driving on St. John is on the left, so plan on that if you rent a car once you arrive.
- Choosing your timing. Florida winters are mild by comparison with northern states, but the Caribbean still rewards a planned departure. Think about the date of your milestone first, then work backward to pick a stretch of days that keeps the celebration unhurried. Ask our team which weeks suit a group, since a few days of slack around the event can make the whole trip feel less rushed.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, so consider whether your celebration fits a full stay or a shorter block. Share your guest list, any dietary needs, and the day you want to mark, and we will help you match the villa to the group. Settle the details before you travel so the only thing left to do is enjoy the occasion.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa better than a hotel room for a milestone celebration?
For many groups, yes. A villa gives you a shared living space, a place to host a quiet dinner, and separate areas for resting. It can feel more personal than a standard room, which suits anniversaries, birthdays, and family gatherings alike. Our team can walk you through what each villa offers.
How early should someone from Lazy Lake start planning?
Start as early as you can once you know the date, since popular weeks fill first. Reaching out early gives you more choice in villas and leaves room to arrange the ferry, the flights into St. Thomas, and any extra guests. Our local team is happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.
