The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Lantana, Florida, plan a long-awaited splurge at the Westin St John Resort, with villa rentals set up before you book. Their local team answers questions first, so the trip feels settled from the start.
Some trips are saved for years before they happen. For many people in Lantana, Florida, a stay on St. John is exactly that kind of plan, a trip set aside as a real treat rather than a quick getaway. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort make that kind of stay feel personal, with room to spread out, cook a meal, and slow down in a way a standard hotel room rarely allows. Florida is a long way from the Caribbean in one sense, yet it shares the warm, sunny character that makes island life appealing. Because the island sits in the US Virgin Islands, you will find a rhythm that feels both familiar and new. Planning ahead lets you give the splurge the attention it deserves, from choosing the right villa to deciding how each day will unfold once you arrive.

Planning a splurge from Lantana
- Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. The ferry ride is part of the experience, and it gives you a first look at the island. Once you land on St. John, remember that driving is on the left, so take a moment to adjust before you head out on the roads.
- Choosing your season. Florida winters are mild, but the Virgin Islands stay warm through most of the year, so the question becomes what kind of weather you want for a special trip. Drier stretches tend to suit travelers who plan lots of time outdoors, while the warmer, wetter months bring a softer, greener landscape. Think about what matters most to you and let that guide the timing.
- Setting up your villa. Villa rentals are booked by the week, which suits a splurge well because it gives you room to settle in without rushing. Before you commit, ask St John Condos about the layout, the kitchen, and what the villa offers for outdoor living. Their local team answers questions before you book, so you can plan the stay with confidence and clear expectations.
