The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Hurlock, Maryland, plan a beach-centered trip to St. John, with villas at the Westin St John Resort rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
A beach trip to St. John suits someone from Hurlock well. Much of the island's appeal is simply being near warm water, soft sand, and quiet mornings, and a villa gives you a home base close to all of it. You can spend your days in the sea and your evenings unhurried, without fitting your plans around a hotel schedule. Staying in a villa at the Westin St John Resort also gives you room to settle in. Villa Rentals at this property are booked by the week, so you can let the days find their own rhythm, moving between the shore, a long lunch, and a late swim. The island rewards that kind of slow attention, and it is the kind of trip Maryland travelers often come to St. John hoping for.

Getting from Hurlock to the beach on St. John
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors from Hurlock fly into St. Thomas, which has its own airport. From there a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan your arrival with that connection in mind, and keep your bags light enough to manage on the ferry and in the taxi line.
- Choosing when to go. The Caribbean stays warm through the year, which is a welcome change for anyone leaving a Maryland winter. Many travelers from Hurlock prefer to book around the months when they can take time away from work and school without feeling rushed. Think about your own calendar first, then ask the St John Condos team which weeks suit a beach-focused stay.
- Planning your beach days. Decide early how much of your trip you want on the sand and how much you want to explore. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, so take your time on unfamiliar roads. With a villa as your base, you can plan a few beach mornings, a quieter afternoon by the pool, and a rest day before heading back.
