The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Glenvar Heights, Florida, plan a week away with friends at villas near the Westin St John Resort, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
A week with friends works well on St. John when everyone agrees on the basics early. Glenvar Heights sits in the Southeast, so many of you will already be used to warm weather, but island days carry their own rhythm, with slow mornings, sea breezes, and evenings that stretch out on a shared porch. Villa Rentals give your group room to spread out, cook together, and keep common areas for conversation rather than rushed decisions. Plan the trip the way you would plan any shared holiday: talk through who wants quiet mornings, who wants to explore, and who simply wants to sleep in. Clear expectations make it easier to split costs, share the driving, and settle on a rhythm that suits a group of different tastes. Once the group has agreed on dates and must-do activities, the rest of the week tends to fall into place without much friction.

Planning Your Week From Glenvar Heights
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas (STT), then take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Coordinate arrival times so the whole group lands close together, and consider sharing one taxi to keep logistics simple. Once you reach the island, remember that driving is on the left, which is worth reviewing before anyone takes the wheel.
- Choosing your departure window. Florida travelers often find that mid-season weeks offer a comfortable balance of weather and availability, while the hotter, wetter months bring more afternoon showers. Think about school calendars, work commitments, and the travel plans of everyone in the group before settling on dates. Locking in a window early gives your friends time to arrange their own schedules.
- Planning the stay. Villa Rentals are booked by the week, which suits a group that wants shared space rather than separate rooms. Talk through meals, grocery runs, and which days you want a planned outing versus a free day. A short shared itinerary keeps everyone aligned, and a local team can help you match your group size and needs to the right villa before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa a good fit for a group of friends from Glenvar Heights?
Usually, yes. A villa gives everyone private bedrooms, shared living space, and a kitchen for simple meals together. It keeps the group connected through the week without the crowding that can come with several hotel rooms. Ask the St John Condos team which layouts work best for your group size before you book.
How should we split costs and plan the week together?
Agree on a shared budget early and decide how you will track expenses, whether that is one person paying and settling later or a simple shared app. Talk through meals and outings in advance so no one feels pressured. Your St John Condos contact can explain what the villa covers so the group can plan with confidence.
