The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Day, Florida plan a relaxed week away with friends at villas near the Westin St John Resort, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

A week away with friends works best when everyone has room to spread out and still gather easily at the end of the day. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group that kind of space, with separate bedrooms, shared living areas, and a setting that feels more like a home base than a hotel floor. From Day, Florida, the trip is a long one, so it helps to settle the basics early and let the rest of the week unfold at an easy pace. Plenty of groups from the Southeast find that a villa changes how they spend their days. Some mornings you may head out together, while other days you might split up and meet back for dinner on a shared patio. Because villas are rented by the week, your group can plan a single stretch of time without juggling multiple reservations. A short call with the St John Condos team can help you match the villa to your group's size and travel habits before anything is booked.

Getting from Day to St. John

  1. Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Florida fly into the St. Thomas airport, which is the usual gateway to St. John. Ask your group to coordinate arrival times so everyone lands close together. Once you are on St. Thomas, a taxi can carry you and your bags to Red Hook, where you will catch the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in the schedule in case a connection runs late.
  2. Pick the right season. Florida's warm months are familiar to your group, but the islands follow their own rhythm, so it helps to think about when you want to travel. Many people prefer the drier stretches of the year for beach days and hiking, while others choose quieter periods when crowds thin out. Talk through what matters most to your friends, whether that is sun, sailing, or simply long lazy afternoons, and let that guide the dates you choose.
  3. Plan the stay together. Once you have dates, decide how your group will divide the work: who handles groceries, who drives, and who coordinates outings. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, so anyone behind the wheel should take a few easy rides before heading out on the winding roads. Agree on a loose daily plan with plenty of unscheduled time, and let the villa be the place everyone returns to at the end of each day.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa better than a hotel room for a group trip?

For a group, a villa usually gives everyone more room to rest and more freedom to cook, gather, and come and go on their own schedule. Separate bedrooms and shared living space help keep the week comfortable. The St John Condos team can talk through your group's needs and suggest whether a villa suits your plans.

Can we book a villa for just part of the week?

Villas are rented by the week, so planning around a full seven-day stay is the usual approach. If your group has a different timeline, reach out to the St John Condos team before booking. They can explain what options are available and help you decide what fits your plans.
