Planning your trip from Charlotte Hall

  1. Reaching the island. Most travelers from Charlotte Hall fly to St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once you arrive, keep in mind that driving on the island is on the left, which is worth remembering if you plan to rent a car for a few outings together.
  2. Choosing when to go. Think about the season that suits the two of you best. Winter months at home are often the reason couples from Maryland head south, while the warmer part of the year brings its own quiet charm. Share your preferred pace with the St John Condos team, who can talk through the timing before you commit to anything.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives couples room to settle in rather than rushing from place to place. Decide early how much of your time you want structured and how much open, then ask the St John Condos team any questions about the villa itself. Their local knowledge helps you shape a stay that feels personal.
