The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can answer your questions about villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort before you book, whether you are planning a beach-focused trip from Butler Beach, Florida. Our local team knows the shoreline well and is glad to talk through what suits you.

Butler Beach sits on Florida's Atlantic coast, so many of the people who live there already know the feeling of sand between their toes and the sound of surf in the morning. A beach-centered trip to St. John asks for something a little different, a warm Caribbean shore where the water is clear and the pace is slower than home. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to settle in and treat the beach as the heart of the holiday. Because you already love the ocean, you may find that the question is less about whether to go and more about how to make the most of the shoreline once you arrive. Plan a few lazy mornings on the sand, a long afternoon with a book, and evenings with nothing scheduled at all. A villa gives you a kitchen, a place to rinse off salt water, and a quiet spot to return to, which suits a beach-focused stay well.

Getting from Butler Beach to St. John

  1. Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors coming from Butler Beach fly into St. Thomas, using its airport code STT. From the airport, take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry runs across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Keep your luggage manageable, since you will be carrying it onto the boat and along the dock before you reach your villa.
  2. Pick your season carefully. Florida winters are mild by comparison with the northern states, yet the Caribbean still has its own rhythm of dry and wetter months. Think about when you want the most sun on the beach and how much rain you are willing to accept. Your St John Condos contact can help you match your dates to the kind of beach time you have in mind.
  3. Plan the beach-focused stay. Villa rentals are booked by the week, which gives you a steady base for beach days without constant packing and unpacking. Decide early which beaches you want to visit and whether you will drive, remembering that traffic on St. John moves on the left. Share your plans with the St John Condos team, and they will help you find a villa close to the sand you love.
