Getting from Buckhead Ridge to St. John
- Reaching St. Thomas. Most visitors from Buckhead Ridge fly into St. Thomas, using the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will carry you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is a simple sequence once you have done it, and the local team can confirm the details that suit your travel dates before you book.
- Picking your departure window. Florida's own weather can shape when you choose to leave for the islands. Many travelers from the Southeast prefer to step away during a stretch when home feels busy or humid, and then return to a quieter schedule. Think about what you want from the week, whether that is sun, calm water, or simply time with no appointments, and let that guide the dates you hold.
- Planning the stay itself. Once your dates are set, decide how you want the week to feel. Some guests keep it entirely open, while others choose a few gentle outings. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, which takes a little adjustment. Share your plans with our team, and they will help you match a villa to the kind of unhurried week you have in mind.
