The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos answers questions from travelers in Broadview Park, Florida, who are planning a week away with friends at villas near the Westin St John Resort. Ask the local team anything before you book.
A week with friends on an island asks for a little more planning than a solo trip, and the group usually has the most fun when everyone knows the plan. Broadview Park, Florida sits in the warm Southeast, so many of you will already be comfortable with humid air and bright sun, which makes the Caribbean feel familiar in its own way. Villa Rentals suit a group well because there is room to spread out, cook together, and gather on the terrace at the end of the day. Where you stay shapes how the week feels. A shared villa gives everyone a private corner while keeping the group close, and it lets you set your own pace from morning coffee to late-night talk. Before you commit, talk through bedrooms, shared costs, and who handles the grocery run with your friends. St John Condos can walk you through the options so the trip you picture is the one you actually get.

Getting from Broadview Park to St. John
- Fly into St. Thomas. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and that is the usual gateway for a group trip. Coordinate arrival times so no one waits long at baggage claim. From there, book a taxi to Red Hook, then catch the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan this route together so everyone knows where to meet.
- Pick your departure window. Think about the season before you choose the dates for your week. Florida friends often find the shoulder periods easier on the wallet and the calendar, and they tend to be less crowded. Share your dates with the group early, since a full villa is much easier to fill when everyone agrees on the timing well ahead of booking.
- Plan the stay as a group. Once you arrive, decide on a loose plan rather than a packed schedule. Split up the cooking, agree on a rough plan for beach days, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which may take a moment to adjust to. Keep a shared list of plans and reservations so the week runs smoothly and no one is left wondering what comes next.
