The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help Adamstown travelers plan a quiet week of unwinding in a villa at the Westin St John Resort, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
Adamstown sits in the Southeast region of the United States, in Maryland, where winters are cold and grey for much of the year. For many travelers from here, a week of unwinding means swapping that chill for warm sand, slow mornings, and a place where the days move at their own pace. St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, offers exactly that kind of break, and it is an easy trip to picture when you are longing for a change of scenery. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you more room to settle in than a standard hotel room. You can cook a simple breakfast, spread out with a book, and step outdoors whenever you feel like it. Because villas are rented by the week, the rhythm of your stay follows your own wishes rather than a crowded schedule, which suits a quiet trip especially well.

Planning a quiet week from Adamstown
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little buffer for connections, since a relaxed trip starts best when you are not rushing between stops. If you rent a car on the island, remember that driving on St. John is on the left.
- Choosing when to leave. Think about the season you are escaping. Adamstown winters are cold, so many travelers from Maryland welcome a trip any time of year that brings warmth and calm. Pick dates that fit your work and family commitments, and consider a week that leaves a free day at the end to recover before you return home. Ask our team which weeks suit a slow pace.
- Planning the stay. Book a villa for the full week so you can settle in and let the days blur together. Bring a short list of what you want, whether that is lazy mornings, reading on a terrace, or simply doing nothing. Tell us about your plans before you book, and we will help you choose a villa and arrange the details so that your only job is to unwind.
